Once again our arts calendar is starting to fill up. Here are some upcoming events we’ll be seeing:

Also ongoing: Reel Affirmations, the D.C. gay and lesbian film festival, opens tonight and runs through Oct. 22. And the Renaissance Festival in Maryland closes Oct. 23.

Lots of good stuff. And two of the events above are in new venues (Strathmore and Woolly Mammoth) that opened within the past year, so I’m extra excited about seeing those for the first time.

Have you seen Urinetown before? I thought it was hilarious (I’ve seen it twice). Problem is that some of the songs go by so quickly you miss a lot of the jokes….but the sound track is available on iTunes. 🙂

Rufus on Halloween? I’m way jealous!

Oooh, review Urinetown for us! I’m so jealous you’re seeing Rufus at the 9:30, oh the memories so misty-coloured.

Yes, that Betty Buckley was indeed on “Eight Is Enough.” She’d been a Broadway star long before, and continued long after that show ended.

She is probably best known for her turn in “Sunset Boulevard” before Glenn Close took on the role.

As for RA15………. Man, I wish you’d told me when you were going to the films! I was there practically every night… *sigh*

Argh, you’re going to Rufus! I really want to go, but anyone I know on this stupid campus who actually likes Rufus coincidentally has a night class! It makes me sad.

And hello, I know I haven’t talked to you in ages 😛 Hehe.
