It snowed a bit today, so I went out to the balcony to take some photos. That’s what I love about the balcony: I can just step outside for a bit without it being a whole production.
This is a tree in the corner of the pool area; as I was taking the photo, I remembered that I had another shot of it in its former autumnal glory. The first photo is from Nov. 6, 2004, and the second, from today:
Maybe I’ll make this into a complete series in the coming seasons.

Those pics of the tree would make a gorgeous set to hang on the wall when it’s completed. I have a set of three photos over my bed, each of a tree in a different season. Of course, I bought them as a set rather than take them myself. I’m impatient that way.
Neat idea. If you mark the placement of the camera, as well as a precise aiming point and fixed focal length, you should be able to get a nicely matched set. (Actually, based on the two you have already, you’re well on your way! So just ignore me!) 🙂
Cool photos! I’m still trying to figure out how to get my thumb out of the image–without using Photoshop.
Love the trees! Very whomping willow-esque (a la Harry Potter). But less deadly :).
What a great study in contrasts; love those kind of photos!
